Hurricane Erika – The Island of Dominica – Go Fund Me Video

Donate Here! This video is for for a crowd funding campaign to help the victims and survivors of Hurricane Erika who live on the Island of Dominica, the Nature Island.

My name is Ernest Wallace, I am a native of the Island of Dominica. I currently live San Antonio Texas, but I still have family friends that live on the island. On Friday August 28, 2015 the tiny island of Dominica was devastated by tropical storm Erika when over 12 inches of rain fell in just 10 hours causing massive flooding and mudslides.

20 people were left dead and 50 are still missing. Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, has declared 9 areas disasters. With the damage caused by the storm some of these communities are impossible to reach by road and are completely cut off from the rest of the country. The island has appealed for international assistance as this tragic event has set development back 20 years.

I have created this campaign to raise money for the families who have suffured such tremendous loss from the affects of Erika. I am the owner of Optimum Footcare in Texas and I am willing to donate a pair of lifetime warranty shoe inserts to anyone who donates at least $100 to this campain. Donations of any size are welcome as we push to make our goal.

I thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Your help will be greatly appreciated!
